“Naked Truth“... Catholic responses to the Booklet: “Answers to my Catholic Friends” by Thomas F. Heinze … Part 10b
A Roman Catholic(Patrick j Miron) reply
to Protestant “[mis]- Understandings” Part 10b
This is the
FINAL section of this series
Dear friends if One does NOT correctly understand the
Devine Nature of God, which is necessary to “know Him,” how is such a person able to “love Him?” …And
if one is able to actually “know God,“ how can such a one NOT accept in total what He himself say’s and teaches? Either the Entire Bible IS inspired, TRUE
[but not always’ factual] and guided by Our God; or it is completely worthless
in learning what is necessary to merit ones personal Salvation.
WHAT is absolutely essential and necessary to everyone’s
ability to MERIT Salvation, is as SIMPLE as
One, Two, Three… John.14: 6 “Jesus said to him, "I am the [ONLY] way,
and the [ONLY] truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father,
but by me….Matt.7: 13 -14 "Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide
and the way is easy, that leads to destruction, and those who
enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that
leads to life, and those who find it are few.
patrick j miron confession of sin!!!
Many, if not
all, Protestants have tried to find their way around John 20:21-23. They try to make it Jesus' words mean
something like, "If God forgives their sins, then you proclaim them
forgiven" or, "If you deliver the Gospel to people, then they shall
be freed from their sins." However,
this is not what Jesus said. He said plainly and simply: "If you forgive men's sins, they are forgiven. If not, then
they are not." These are the
Lord's Words, not mine. Jesus had ample opportunity to state
what he said in all kinds of different ways. He did not, however.
How do we know
that Jesus gave this power to his Apostles ONLY and not to everybody?
To answer
this question, we must first note that John's Gospel nowhere uses the
term "Apostles" as a reference to the Twelve.
Further evidence of the Delusion Commentary of Patrick J Miron
So the omission of that
term here is insignificant. At least the power was only explicitly given to the
disciples that were in the upper room, that is for sure (see verse 19).
We can
further reason that from the context the term "them" in verse 22 is
used in the same sense as it is in verse 24 where it refers to the Twelve.
Jhn 20:19 | ¶ | Then the same day at evening, being the first [day] of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace [be] unto you.
Jhn 20:20 | And when he had so said, he shewed unto them [his] hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
Jhn 20:21 | Then said Jesus to them again, Peace [be] unto you: as [my] Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
Jhn 20:22 | And when he had said this, he breathed on [them], and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
Jhn 20:23 | Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; [and] whose soever [sins] ye retain, they are retained. |

the ministry of changing completly
The Ministry of Reconciliation
11 Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord,(L) we try to persuade others. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience.(M) 12 We are not trying to commend ourselves to you again,(N) but are giving you an opportunity to take pride in us,(O) so that you can answer those who take pride in what is seen rather than in what is in the heart.
13 If we are “out of our mind,”(P) as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. 14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.(Q) 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves(R) but for him who died for them(S) and was raised again.
16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly(T) point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.
and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:
the ministry of changing completly
19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them.(
Z) And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors,(AA) as though God were making his appeal through us.(AB) We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.(AC)
21 God made him who had no sin(AD) to be sin[b] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God
21 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies(AY) in your minds(AZ) because of[g] your evil behavior.
Colossians 1;21
The Supremacy of the Son of God
15 The Son is the image(AH) of the invisible God,(AI) the firstborn(AJ) over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created:(AK) things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities;(AL) all things have been created through him and for him.(AM) 17 He is before all things,(AN) and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head(AO) of the body, the church;(AP) he is the beginning and the firstborn(AQ) from among the dead,(AR) so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased(AS) to have all his fullness(AT) dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile(AU) to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven,(AV) by making peace(AW) through his blood,(AX) shed on the cross.
22 But now he has reconciled(BA) you by Christ’s physical body(BB) through death to present you(BC) holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation(BD)—
23 if you continue(BE) in your faith, established(BF) and firm, and do not move from the hope(BG) held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven,(BH) and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.(BI)
Light and Darkness, Sin and Forgiveness
5 This is the message we have heard(K) from him and declare to you: God is light;(L) in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness,(M) we lie and do not live out the truth.(N) 7 But if we walk in the light,(O) as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all[b] sin.(P)
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins(S) and purify us from all unrighteousness.
(T)10 If we claim we have not sinned,(U) we make him out to be a liar(V) and his word is not in us.(W)
